The first years of life are the most important years for setting the stage for our future. Dryden has made these formative years a priority by offering programs such as:

School Age
The Dryden area has two publicly funded school systems. Dryden offers the fundamental courses and sports programs, safe schools and other unique features.
The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board boasts:
- 9 Elementary Schools and 1 High School (Grades 9 to OAC)
- Fine Arts program which includes music, drama, dance and visual arts
- State of the art computer program plus 4:1 pupil to computer ratio
- Early Literacy programming including specially assigned teachers in every school
- Reading Recovery program
- Distance learning and alternative learning environments
- Co-operative Education and Virtual Co-operative Education Program
The Northwest Catholic District School Board boasts:
- Classes from JK to Grade 8
- French Immersion starting at SK
- Half day, every day, JK and SK program
Adult Learning
The Dryden area is equipped for lifelong learning by offering on-site full time and part time secondary and post-secondary courses/programs through traditional and distance education learning (tele/videoconferencing). General interest courses and credit courses are available throughout the school year. Adult educational partners include Confederation College, Lakehead University, the Adult Education and Training Division of the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board and the Contact North/Contact Nord Distance Education and Training Network.
Dryden Regional Training & Cultural Centre
The $6.9 million dollar training and cultural centre opened its doors in the Fall of 2004. This magnificent facility has computer labs, training classrooms, a water plant operator training facility, meeting rooms, video conferencing rooms, offices and a large 500 seat community auditorium and multi-use seminar space. Partners in the facility are: the City of Dryden, Keewaytinook Okimakanak (Northern Chiefs Council), Confederation College, Keewatin-Patricia District School Board and the Dryden Entertainment Series.
