Within and near the city you will find an indoor pool and fitness centre, cardio fitness centre, racquetball and squash courts, aerobics studio, dance studio, downhill and cross country skiing, Cinema theatre, two arenas and two 9 hole golf courses. A variety of choices in organized sports is available.

Dryden is the home of Chris Pronger, the winner of the NHL Most Valuable Player award and Best Defenceman for the year 2000. One of our physio therapists placed 1st in the Canadian Triathalon Championships in his age category. In the summer, one can enjoy an abundance of outdoor recreation including fishing, boating, sailing, beach volleyball, walking trails, two golf courses, mini golf courses, soccer fields, baseball diamonds, tennis courts and Northwood Raceway.

Come the fall, you can go hunting for either small or big game or simply enjoy nice quiet hikes on the Trans Canada Trail.

In the winter, snowmobiling is abundant with miles of groomed trails and many people go ice fishing. Down-hill skiing and cross-country skiing are popular activities at the Dryden Ski Hill, where you can come and enjoy hot chocolate and friendship. Novice skiers take advantage of lessons whether downhill sking or snowboarding.

Supervised summer and winter recreational programs for children are offered. A senior citizens activity centre provides daily events.
